I am a self employed business owner with a demanding work schedule that consumes most of my day most of the time. After several years of maintaining this level of work, my fitness, energy and overall piece of mind began to suffer. I found myself burning out with little or no energy and having to resort to quick fixes (coffee) to power me through the lulls in my day. My business was thriving at the expense of my overall health and well being. I knew I had to make a major lifestyle adjustment and start to prioritize my physical and mental needs. As a result of taking the 10 week wellness course. I am now making better food choices and better decisions for our meal planning and have achieved a weight loss. I hope to continue following the guidelines we have been given during the course.
It has been a very thorough and enlightening course broken down into different areas and topics.

Over the course of the ten week Wellness Challenge. I learnt to treat my body as a friend or family member. To treat my body as I would treat a loved one. To be responsible for my choices both positive and negative. To reward successes and learn from my failures. Reading labels can really open your minds. Not quite ready to be organic.
I really think before I put food in my mouth. Getting a handle on my walking and weight training.
